Of resolutions

for this next revolution

I have but one:

It is my resolution to make none.

Of prayers,

For the calendar, new

Again my needs are simple,

I have only two,

One for me and one for you:

Dear Lord, grant me the ability to

forgive, have patience with and love myself.

For it will follow from these

that I will be more humane.

And as for my friend, Dear Lord

won’t you grant him the same?
