For my wife on a rainy day

The river of life is refreshed by God’s Tears.
We fall
And startle the waters.
Rings roll out.
Some only inches.
Others ripple to far shores.
Fortunate you fell in the same spot
As I.
We shall swell together
Travel for a season
And collapse upon the distant sandy beach
As one.
To begin again.

  1. What a finely crafted poem, Luke. Love it and I know your wife treasures it.
